Burn Lot - Beacon Denver

One of the owners of Beacon came to the last Shimmy and asked if we wanted to help throw a Sunday party in Denver. I must admit, I had my reservations about who was going to turn out on a Sunday... yet I was once again floored by what happened. We came up with the name BURN LOT and began putting the word out knowing how many other dance parties were happening this very same afternoon. When the day arrived, we covered the BURN LOT stage (in the adjoining parking lot) with some crazy cool decor from the beautifully creative Elle @SpaceCadetCollective, hosted a flaming pirate art car, vendors, fire spinners, and more. At the outset the blazing sun helped BURN LOT live up to its name, but after the first hour cloud cover made rest of the afternoon/evening so incredibly comfortable as we celebrated with our burner friends under Denver skies.

After NEEDMORE's opening set, ROLF took us higher, followed by CHEEKS who delivered the goodness as she always does. BOUNCE took the last set in the lot and kept everyone bumping as day turned to night. IGNYTE fired up the dance floor inside Beacon followed by ADAM ZWARA who laid a super groovy set upon a packed floor. I must admit that before the party, I didn't expect the place to be so packed at that late hour on a Sunday night... yet it was! I stepped up to the decks and laid down my set yet when the midnight hour struck, I couldn't believe how many people were still there yelling for more. Because the venue was still crowded with people, the staff asked us to keep it going. IGNYTE (who's always down for more) jumped back on the decks and we partied right into the first hours of the month of June. Thanks to everyone who helped with setup/teardown, Elle for her decor, the wonderfully helpful staff at Beacon and YOU for elevating the vibe so much on a Sunday!
